Paris Saint-Germain Targets Victor Osimhen in €50m Transfer Bid
Transfer Drama: Napoli’s Osimhen at Center of PSG’s €50m Offer

In a high-stakes transfer battle, French football giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have intensified their pursuit of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. The Ligue 1 club is reportedly ready to make a jaw-dropping €50 million offer (equivalent to N43 billion) to secure the talented player’s services during this transfer window.

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has acknowledged that PSG is the only club with the financial might to afford the Nigeria international. However, the Italian club has set a staggering asking price of €150 million, leading other top contenders such as Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich to withdraw from negotiations.

Just last week, PSG attempted to woo Napoli with a massive €120 million bid for Osimhen, which was swiftly rejected by the Serie A champions. It is apparent that the club is determined to hold on to their prized asset, setting a substantial price tag that no other club seems willing to match.

Speaking to Mediaset, De Laurentiis commented, “The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain. If (PSG president) Nasser Al Khelaifi wants to send in a bid around €200 million, we wait and see what happens. I personally think that Victor will stay here.”

The situation has been further complicated by reports from Sky Sports, suggesting that PSG has already reached a staggering €300 million agreement with Al-Hilal for French superstar Kylian Mbappe. However, Mbappe is yet to agree to a move to Saudi Arabia, leaving Osimhen as a potential replacement for the Parisian outfit.

It is believed that if Napoli manages to secure the 24-year-old forward, Osimhen could be rewarded with a substantial salary of €50 million, becoming the star of the team. However, recent reports indicate that the Nigerian striker is not enthusiastic about a move to the Ligue 1.

Osimhen’s remarkable performance last season has been a significant factor in Napoli clinching the Serie A title after a drought of over three decades. With 26 goals and five assists in 32 league appearances, the young talent also made history by becoming the first African player to claim the prestigious Capocannoniere award, presented to the top scorer in Serie A.

As the transfer window progresses, all eyes are on PSG and their unwavering pursuit of Victor Osimhen. Will the Parisian club break the bank to secure their target, or will Napoli hold firm and retain their prized striker for another season? Football enthusiasts around the world await the outcome of this gripping transfer saga.
