Osun State Governor Declares Public Holiday for State Assembly Elections

The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has announced that Friday, March 17th will be a public holiday. The governor’s spokesperson, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, made this announcement on Thursday through a statement released by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed in Osogbo.

According to the statement, the purpose of the holiday is to allow residents of Osun State to travel to their polling units and exercise their right to vote in the State House of Assembly elections which will take place on Saturday.

The governor also urged the people of the state to maintain peace and order as they prepare for the elections. He further encouraged them to come out in large numbers and vote wisely, emphasizing the importance of the elections as they will be electing lawmakers who will work with him.
