The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has sacked Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo as the Lagos chairman.

It also announced Seyi Bankole as the new head of the Lagos chapter.

A report earlier mentioned that the NURTW suspended MC Oluomo before he pulled out from the national body.

The National Administrative Council of the union made this known in a statement titled: ‘Dissolution of Lagos State Administrative Council.’

The statement was signed by its National President, Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa and General Secretary, Alhaji Kabiru Ado Ya’u.

The union said the decision was based on the provisions of the union’s constitution.

“MC Oluomo has been sacked as Lagos chairman. We had a meeting last night. We have replaced him.

“His earlier withdrawal from the union holds no ground. That’s unacceptable to us,” a national officer said.
