Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon revealed that the recently released movie titled ‘The Wait’ is based on his own life experiences.
He took to his Instagram page and stated that every time he watches the film, it evokes a range of emotions and leaves him feeling deeply moved.
He mentioned that while working on the film, he experienced some of the most powerful emotions he has ever felt as an actor, and these emotions continue to be stirred every time he watches the film.
According to him, the movie holds a special significance to him as it is based on his own life story with his wife, and although it brings back painful memories, it also serves as a reminder of God’s grace and love.
Okanlawon highly recommends the film to anyone who is currently in their own waiting season and it is now available to stream on Netflix.
He wrote, “While reading the script and when on the set of THE WAIT I experienced the most powerful emotions I’ve ever felt as an actor and those emotions have been stirred every single time I have seen the film.
The Wait is special to me because this was my wife and I’s story… and though it brings back painful memories it always reminds me of God’s grace and love and is a must-watch for anyone who is in their waiting season! Now streaming on Netflix.”
