The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) made this decision after a proposed training tour of Germany fell through.

The NFF had planned a training tour in Germany as part of the team’s preparations but was forced to cancel the trip due to logistical challenges and the inability to secure a sponsor to fund the tour.

The Golden Eaglets, coached by Nduka Ugbade, have been placed in Group B alongside Zambia, Morocco, and South Africa for the tournament. The Nigerian team will play its first match against Morocco on Sunday next week.

Algeria is set to host the prestigious youth football competition from April 29 to May 19. The event will showcase the talents of some of Africa’s most promising young footballers and provide a platform for these future stars to gain international recognition.
