βBreaking: Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike endorses Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the second term in office. Details later,β Mr. Akosile wrote.
Wike, who was in Lagos on Tuesday to attend the National Womenβs Conference organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) at the Eko Hotel and Suites, said he supported Sanwo-Olu because he has performed very well.
He said if Sanwo-Olu was not doing well and he invited him, he would not come, but that the Lagos governor is doing well.
Wike said he would not regret saying he is supporting Sanwo-Olu for the second term.
βIf Sanwo-Olu is not doing well, even if he belongs to my party, I wonβt come. For me, if you are in my party and you are not doing well, you wonβt see me.
βIf you are not in my party and you are doing well, you will see me. I will not regret to say I am in support of you (Sanwo-Olu),β he said.
The Rivers State Governor also donated N300 million to COWLSO to support the good work they are doing in Lagos.
βOn behalf of the women in Rivers State, my wife, who has extended her greetings, I support this with a sum of N300 million so that you can continue this laudable project,β he said.
