NECO Reschedules 2023 Common Entrance Examination Over Low Registration

The exam, which admits candidates into the Federal Unity Colleges across the federation, was originally scheduled to commence on Saturday, April 29th, 2023.

The decision to reschedule the examination was made due to the low registration rate, according to NECO’s spokesman, Azeez Sani. In a statement issued on Wednesday, Sani stated that states with low registration will be given the opportunity to register their candidates for the examination.

Sani further urged all candidates, parents, guardians, schools, and relevant stakeholders to take note of the new date for the examination. He also stated that the registration of more candidates will continue until the new date of the examination.

The National Common Entrance Examinations are an important part of the admission process for students seeking admission into Federal Unity Colleges across Nigeria. The examination assesses candidates’ knowledge of English Language, Mathematics, and General Knowledge, and is administered annually by NECO.

NECO has assured all stakeholders that the new date for the examination will not affect the quality and integrity of the examination. Candidates are advised to use the extra time to prepare thoroughly for the examination.
