This victory puts the series at 1-3 in favour of Golden State Warriors who are considered favourites to win the series. The first quarter was a big affair for the Mavs who won by 28-24, with most of GSW’s points coming late in the quarter.

Mavericks extended the woes of their San Fransisco rivals in the second quarter with the score at 34-23 and totalling 62-47 at halftime. It was rather a big surprise for GSW who could have buried qualification hopes of the Mavs if they had won yesterday.

The biggest star on the court was Luka Doncic, with the Slovenian running the show for the home side. He netted 30 points and registered 9 assists with 14 rebounds. The big Slovenian has been arguably Maverick’s biggest star in recent months.

The third quarter began with GSW trying to get a grip on the game but it was the Mavs who turned out to be the better team and they won the quarter by 37-23, very similar to the second quarter. It was at this point that GSW knew the game was more or less beyond them with the score at 99-70.

The fourth quarter was all GSW and they ran riots winning the set by 20-39 but it was not enough as they fell by just 10 points after the final buzzer sounded. The win gives hope to the Mavericks who are now confident of trying to go all the way. Two more victories will draw the series, with the final Game 7 the deciding match. A win for GSW in Game 5 will secure an NBA final for them.

Dorian Finney-Smith was another Mavs top performer as he bagged 23 points having played 39 minutes. Golden State Warriors had a few nice performers like Stephen Curry who netted 20 points and had 5 rebounds in 33 minutes. Jonathan Kuminga was another top performer with 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist. Every GSW player took part in the game except Juan Toscano-Anderson who was an unused substitute during the whole game.
