Meta’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, recently underwent a surgical procedure following a knee injury sustained while training for an upcoming mixed martial arts tournament.

In an Instagram announcement made on Friday, Zuckerberg shared the news of his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear.

Providing an update on his surgery, he conveyed, “I’m currently on the path to recovery. I tore my ACL during a sparring session and have just undergone a surgical procedure to repair it. I’m immensely thankful for the medical professionals and the entire healthcare team who have been taking care of me.”
