Manchester United has received a major boost as Marcus Rashford has returned to training ahead of their Europa League quarter-final second leg against Sevilla on Thursday. The England international, who has scored 28 goals this season, suffered a groin strain during a 2-0 victory over Everton on April 8.

Last week, the club had stated that Rashford would be absent for several games, but his timely return would give the team a significant advantage. United is in the hunt for a treble of cup competitions, and the tie against Sevilla is evenly poised at 2-2 after two late own goals conceded by United in the first leg at Old Trafford.

Luke Shaw and Marcel Sabitzer also took part in training on Wednesday, which is great news for United as they are facing an injury crisis. Unfortunately, their first-choice centre-backs, Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, are unavailable due to injuries sustained in the first leg.

Additionally, Bruno Fernandes is suspended, while Donny van de Beek and Alejandro Garnacho remain sidelined with injuries. United lifted the League Cup earlier this season, ending a six-year trophy drought, and they will face Brighton in the FA Cup semi-finals on Sunday.

In summary, Rashford’s return to training has given Manchester United a major boost ahead of their Europa League quarter-final against Sevilla. The team is hoping to secure a treble of cup competitions this season, but they are currently facing an injury crisis, with several key players unavailable for selection. Despite this, United remains confident and determined to succeed, having already won the League Cup earlier this season.
