French media outlet RMC Sport has reported that both PSG and Manchester City have expressed interest in the 20-year-old Lyon academy product. Barcola has made headlines this season due to his impressive performances during the second half.

PSG has been tracking the young forward for some time and the team’s manager, Luis Enrique, has reportedly given his approval for Barcola’s acquisition. The French champions are particularly drawn to Barcola’s versatility, which allows him to play across the front line.

Adding to Barcola’s growing reputation, the youngster scored the winning goal in Lyon’s 1-0 victory over PSG in April. Despite attracting attention from numerous clubs, Lyon is reportedly keen to retain Barcola, and his sale is not considered a priority.

Lyon is due to start its preseason preparations with a match against Manchester United on July 19. It remains to be seen whether Barcola will still be part of the Lyon squad when the new season commences.
