Barcelona forward and five time Balloon d’Or winner, Lionel Messi finally speaks on retiring from playing football.
Messi, 31, who signed a mega new contract with Barcelona last season until 2021 says he will retire when his contract ends.
Messi on Sunday made history in his side’s 8-2 thrashing of Huesca in the La Liga.
The Argentine captain has now sparked fears of his retirement by saying he may go when his current deal expires with the La Liga champions.
“I see myself playing football until I finish my contract,” Messi was quoted by Express as saying.
“Then we’ll talk to the club if I have to go on or not. I’m not worried.”
