Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is 70% convinced on joining Barcelona in the summer as he nears closer than ever to a sensational move to the Nou Camp. Lewandowski joined Bayern Munich in 2014 for free and he is set to leave the Allianz Arena for a very minimal fee. Bayern are working feverishly to sign a replacement for Lewandowski before he leaves the club this summer.

Bayern were hoping to keep Lewandowski for as long as 2023 when his contract runs out. The Bavarians are now channeling their energy to land a new striker and it remains unclear who will be the new centre-forward at the Allianz Arena next season. Bayern Munich remains steadfast in a last-ditch effort to keep Lewandowski in their ranks.

Barcelona have agreed to personal terms with Lewandowski and it was widely rumoured that the Pole was linked to a Manchester United move. His agent Pini Zahavi has debunked such rumours and has classified Lewandowski as more or less a Barcelona player amidst all the transfer gossip circling around the star forward.

Lewandowski won the Golden Boot award in the Bundesliga with 35 goals and he is well admired by the Barcelona hierarchy, who are very interested in Lewandowski. The forward is looking forward to life in the Catalan capital and will be ready to sign once the papers are brought forward.

Bayern Munich have not met with any reported replacements and as such are still watching to see what happens if Lewandowski should leave. At Barcelona, it is speculated that Memphis Depay will leave the club at the end of the season and the club are willing to listen to offers in the region of £25-30m for the Dutch forward.

Barcelona’s representatives will meet with Pini Zahavi regarding Lewandowski’s decision to leave Bayern Munich this summer. It is likely that a deal will be agreed on within the next five to ten days and then the unveiling of the Poland captain could be sooner than many expected. Lewandowski is eager to work under Xavi, who seems to have a knack for attracting big players to his ranks and the 2022/2023 season will prove to be one where many clubs will watch out for Barcelona.
