Bayern legendary forward Robert Lewandowski has been crystal clear about his future amidst rumours linking him to Barcelona. The superstar striker has expressed his desire to leave Bayern Munich and join Barca this summer.
Nothing has changed so far in terms of his decision but the Bavarians are looking to tie him down and are yet to listen to his transfer pleas. Internal sources disclosed that they don’t want to lose Lewandowski and they run the risk of doing so as he has made his intentions to leave crystal clear.
Barcelona have offered him a three-year contract and the 33-year-old has agreed to personal terms with the Catalan giants. He is ready to join once Bayern gives the go-ahead. The Poland skipper has one more year left on his current contract and he has no intention to remain at the Allianz Arena. ”My era at Bayern is over. I do not see any possibility in playing for this club,” he said. He further praised the club and said he hoped he wouldn’t be stopped in his desire to leave. ”Bayern is a serious club and I believe they won’t keep me, I don’t want to play there anymore. A transfer is the best solution, I hope they will not stop me.”
Lewandowski has made it clear he has no future at Bayern Munich and this will cause the club to listen to the Barcelona proposal. Also, Bayern Munich will be in the market for another striker but they are yet to identify any targets/options. Joshua Zirkzee will be called back from his season-long loan spell at Anderlecht and the club is yet to take a stance on Malik Tillman.
Options have popped up from various leagues but no agreements have been reached with any side or player reps as of yet. The decision of Lewandowski to exit Bayern Munich has thrown the board off balance. The hunt for a striker will definitely be in full swing and they are confident of finding a suitable replacement.
