Aaronson is happy to join the club and is eager to get started as soon as the market is open. However, Aaronson will begin at Leeds on July 1, when his shirt number will be announced.

The American penned a five-year deal at the Yorkshire club and the contract runs till the summer of 2027 and the club statement confirms. Speaking to the media yesterday, Aaronson was delighted to join the club and continue his football journey in Europe and more so in the Premier League.

”It’s an amazing feeling to be here,” Aaronson said upon signing for the Whites. Head coach Jesse Marsch rates his compatriot highly and has a lot of faith in the young wide man. ”His mentality is to do whatever it takes to help the team succeed. I know he will fit in here perfectly.” Marsch said regarding Aaronson.

Aaronson played 46 times last season and scored 9 goals and registered 11 assists in all competitions, averaging a 78% passing accuracy. Aaronson is believed to be brought on board as Brazilian winger Raphinha opts to exit Elland Road with interest from Barcelona cropping up.

However, the club are still looking to do more business as they are interested in Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa as they intend to bolster their defence in the coming window.

Leeds struggled during the 2021/2022 season and had to part ways with their legendary manager Marcelo Bielsa after four years at the club, which included taking them to the Premier League after a 16-year absence.

Jesse Marsch took the reigns at mid-season and managed to save the team from relegation when they won on the final day of the PL season.  Players tipped to leave the club includes Kalvin Phillips and Diego Llorente, with PL giants monitoring them this summer.
