In a bid to provide an enjoyable experience for the people of Kwara during the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir festivities, the Kwara State government has directed the partial opening of the recently-developed Flower Garden.

The announcement was made by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who expressed his desire for the citizens to make the most of the beautiful facility located in the Government Residential Area (GRA) of Ilorin.

Mrs. Elizabeth Samuel, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, released a statement elaborating on the directive.

She emphasized that the purpose of the partial opening was to enable families and friends to relish the festive period in the tranquil surroundings of the garden.

“The beautiful garden has been redesigned to allow families and friends to enjoy getaways, leisure visits, meditation, reading, and relaxation.

“The redesigning has been done to restore the beauty of the area, its alluring nature, trees, and flowers carefully preserved to bring back the beautiful memory of the capital city of Ilorin,” she stated.

Mrs. Samuel reassured the public that officials would be present at the garden to ensure the visitors’ safety and enjoyment throughout their visit.

Additionally, these officials will safeguard the areas that are still under development, ensuring that they remain intact and undamaged for the maximum pleasure of the public.

As the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations approach, Kwara State residents are encouraged to take advantage of this exceptional opportunity to revel in the delights of the newly opened Flower Garden.
