Nollywood actor, Kunle Remi expressed his confusion about why it seems that actresses in the Nollywood industry are doing better financially than their male counterparts.
In a recent interview with the Honest Bunch Podcast, he cited instances where he would arrive on set driving a moderate car and see his female colleagues pull up in more expensive vehicles.
Despite knowing the budget of the film and his own pay, Remi was puzzled by how his female colleagues could afford such cars.
He cited that some actresses said they have multiple streams of income, such as selling hair, as the reason for their financial success.
However, Remi worries that this perception can negatively impact new actresses entering the industry, who may have unrealistic expectations and end up disappointed.
