There were a lot of questions surrounding this story like, “Why didn’t he come out to defend himself?”, “Why suicide?” and many more. All these questions were answered yesterday when a video surfaced on Twitter where the deceased, in his last moments, addressed his reasons for committing suicide.

According to him, the last two years had been particularly dark for him and his mental health was slowly deteriorating and suicidal thoughts started flooding in.
He had attempted suicide sometime last year but it proved futile when he was caught.
He only craved to clear his name and speak to the person who claimed she was sexually assaulted and apologize if he had made her uncomfortable in any way but he was denied. People jumped into conclusions and began trolling him which added to his deteriorating mental health which in turn led to him acting on his suicidal impulses.
However, the family of the deceased have released an official statement confirming the incident and seeking justice for the death of their son.
A statement from the family of Izu. I am glad they are seeking justice for him. He just can't die in vain. Those responsible for his death must be punished accordingly.
