Original Jurassic Park actors Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum are officially reprising their roles in Jurassic World 3.
Last year’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom continued the story that left off with Jurassic World in 2015, with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard’s characters running against time to save some of the dinosaurs from destruction. This took the story away from the Isla Nublar Island and set the franchise on a new path.
Audiences got a brief glimpse of that path in Jurassic World: Battle At Big Rock, an eight-minute short film that takes place a year after the story of Fallen Kingdom and shows how people have begun to adapt to having dinosaurs in the wild.
That short film also set the stage for a third Jurassic World movie (the final installment in the series). And to conclude the tale, some of the actors who were there, in the beginning, will be featured. They are Sam Neill (Dr. Alan Grant), Laura Dern (Dr. Ellie Sattler), and Jeff Goldblum (Dr. Ian Malcolm). Goldblum was briefly seen in Fallen Kingdom and fans can only hope that this time, it will be more than a cameo.
The upcoming movie should also provide background info on what the trio has been up to over the years. Their appearance is expected to boost ticket sales. A release date hasn’t been announced but that should be revealed in the coming months.
