Nollywood actor, Junior Pope narrated how he and his colleagues suffered a frightening armed robbery attack while driving home in Delta State.
He took to his Instagram page and revealed how they were stopped at a makeshift roadblock of tree stumps and ambushed by a group of armed robbers.
According to him, as they attempted to reverse their vehicles, one of the cars crashed into another and the robbers pointed their guns at the occupants, ordering them to exit and lie flat on the road.
The thieves stole everything, including their phones and personal belongings. He claimed that despite cars passing by and recognizing him, no one stopped to help. He and Emma Umeh had to leave Georgina Ibeh behind but were eventually reunited with her after reporting the incident to customs officers.
Georgina later revealed that the robbers tried to rape her, but she was able to convince them otherwise. However, he has called for action to be taken to stop the recurring armed robbery incidents in the area.
