Jonathan Majors, a rising Hollywood star known for his role in Creed III, is maintaining his innocence in the face of assault and strangulation charges. His criminal defense lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, has issued a statement declaring that Majors is “completely innocent” and is, in fact, the victim in the altercation with a woman he knows.

Chaudhry states that the defense team is swiftly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney’s office, with the expectation that all charges against Majors will be dropped imminently. The evidence cited includes video footage from the vehicle where the incident occurred, witness testimony from the driver and others who saw and heard the event, and two written statements from the woman recanting her allegations.

According to Chaudhry, all available evidence supports the claim that Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault the woman in question. She explains that the incident arose due to the woman experiencing an emotional crisis, which led to her hospitalization. Chaudhry further clarifies that the New York Police Department (NYPD) is required to make an arrest in such situations, and this requirement is the sole reason for Majors’ arrest.

As the defense team presents its case to the District Attorney, they remain confident that the charges against Jonathan Majors will be dropped soon, allowing the actor to continue his burgeoning career without this legal cloud hanging over him.
