A political leader of the Bakassi people and former Presidential Adviser has called on the electorate in Cross River State to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Prince Senator Bassey Otu, to consolidate the gains of democracy.
Ita-Giwa, in a statement released on Tuesday in Calabar, described the APC candidate as a man of tested character who possesses all the necessary virtues that would bring development to the state.
Ita-Giwa urged her people to unite and vote for a better future for their children, improved welfare, and other socio-economic indices that Prince Bassey Otu represents. She assured them that they will be better off under his administration.
In her statement, she said, “I have consistently served you in different capacities, and you all know I am tenacious in any course I believe in and I pursue it to the latter. I am calling on you to join hands with me in ensuring the victory of the APC on Saturday. Senator Bassey Otu is the best man for the job. He is a compassionate man, kind and very consistent. He has plans for the state and would once again put the state in a vantage position that will be reckoned with in Nigeria and globally.”
Ita-Giwa pleaded with her dynamic youths to vote for the development of their dear state, assuring them that Senator Bassey Otu would carry everyone along. She emphasized that women, men, all institutions, and especially the less privileged would form part of his administration. She concluded by urging everyone to vote for the APC on Saturday to foster their oneness and their desire for fast-paced development.
