Nollywood actress Ini Edo has come forward to address the rumors of her alleged affair with Josh Wade, ex-lover of fellow actress Empress Njamah.
The movie star took to her Instagram live on Tuesday night to clear the air and debunk the rumors surrounding their supposed romantic relationship.
During the live session, Edo revealed that Wade had reached out to her, posing as a movie producer interested in casting her in his upcoming film.
However, she claimed that he later tried to make advances towards her, which she declined. According to Edo, Wade had promised to book her a flight to South Africa for a meeting, which led to screenshots of her passport and a video call with Wade on his phone. However, Edo emphasized that their communication was purely professional.
Edo pleaded with the public to refrain from dragging her into false rumors and let her live her life. She stated that she is simply trying to be herself, live a decent life, and do what is best for her, her family, and her career.
The actress expressed her frustration with the persistent rumors surrounding her and urged people to leave her alone. She emphasized that it is easy for people to target her name and spread lies, and she has had enough of it.
“I don’t know why people are dragging me into the web of lies,” Edo stated. “Everyone should just leave me alone, enough with all these lies. It is easy to pick on Ini’s name and just talk shit, and I just keep quiet, enough is enough. You guys have done this to me for the longest and I have kept quiet for the longest.”
