During the second day in Johnny Depp’s libel suit against The Sun, his ex-wife Amber Heard shared that she punched the actor after hearing a rumor about him pushing model Kate Moss down a flight of stairs.
While testifying in the witness box, Heard told the court that her punching Depp was done in the defense of her sister, Whitney.
Recall that we dished the scoop on the Aquaman actress alleging that Depp accused her of cheating with several actors, including Leonardo DiCaprio.
While being questioned today, Tuesday, July 21, 2020, Heard was asked about a heated row with Depp at their home in Los Angeles in March 2015.
Heard’s sister Whitney was present during the argument on a landing between two staircases, and the movie star said she hit Depp to defend her sibling.
Her explanation for her action was that it was based on a rumor she heard that Depp had “pushed” his former girlfriend, model Kate Moss “down the stairs.”
She said:
I heard the rumor he pushed an ex-girlfriend down the stairs – I think it was Kate Moss – and that was fresh in my mind… So I reacted quickly.
I have been Johnny’s punching bag for years… And I remember this as it was the first incident when I ever struck him back.”
