Charly Boy, the controversial Nigerian entertainer, and activist, has revealed shocking details about his past experiences, including being brutalized and locked up in a room for several months.

The outspoken entertainer, widely known as “Area Father,” recently took to his Twitter page to share his ordeal as he fought for good governance in Nigeria.

Charly Boy gained recognition for spearheading the “Our Mumu Don Do” movement, which aimed to raise awareness about the need for societal change in Nigeria.

In his Twitter post, he recounted his disturbing encounters with security operatives who sought to silence his activism.

Reflecting on his journey as an activist, Charly Boy expressed that the numerous challenges he has faced over the years, dating back to 1966, have left him “soft like butter.”

He wrote: “As an individual, a citizen of this once great country and the Area Fada, I can say that I have seen it all, now am soft like butter.

“I was young when the Union Jack was lowered into oblivion. I saw hope perish in 1966 and the wanton destruction that followed in 1967.

“My youth was scandalized by the Biafran civil war, right now am suffering from either paranoia or having a déjavu knowing the contributing factors that lead to that civil war. I saw subsidy rise from the ashes of misrule since the 1970s.

I watched my beloved father clear a path to national healing in 1999. I have seen even more since then. I sabi how water take enter coconut.

I have been brutalized, tear-gassed, locked up for months, and rendered poor by our nonsensical security force. Now I don tanda for this mata.
