Achraf Hakimi’s mother, Saida Mouh, has responded to rumors that her son transferred his fortune to her, stating that she was not aware of any such arrangement.
The Moroccan and Paris Saint-Germain defender’s personal life has been in the spotlight following his divorce from Spanish-Tunisian actress Hiba Abouk, who reportedly discovered that she could not claim half of her ex-husband’s assets because they were in his mother’s name.
The issue has garnered mixed reactions worldwide, prompting Mouh to break her silence on Wednesday and tell Moroccan media that her son did not inform her of any transfer. She stated, “If he has taken any action to protect himself, I’m unaware of it. What’s the problem if the news is true? If my son does not do this, he will not be able to get rid of that woman [Hiba Abouk].”
Recent reports suggest that Abouk will not receive any assets from Hakimi’s fortune as everything is registered under his mother’s name. Spanish news outlet Marca reported last Friday that Abouk requested half of Hakimi’s property and wealth but discovered that he has nothing to his name. According to the same source, Mouh has been receiving Hakimi’s wages in her bank account for some time and is the sole beneficiary of his income and wealth.
Hakimi is one of Africa’s most expensive players and is widely regarded as one of the world’s best right-backs. His divorce and the subsequent controversy surrounding his assets have drawn significant attention from the media and fans alike.
