The 2022 Grammys are here, and stars have aligned on the red carpet wearing their best and brightest looks.

The Grammy Awards have a reputation for attracting bolder, riskier and more eye-popping fashion than almost any other major award ceremony — and the stars didn’t disappoint as they arrived on the red carpet Sunday evening.

Although some of the night’s biggest names opted for black, from Dua Lipa in a sheer Versace bondage dress dripping with gold to Billie Eilish in a voluminous Rick Owens gown but it was pink that reigned large at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Bright pink and all-over metallics were the fashion stories of the Grammys red carpet led by Saweetie in fuchsia Valentino with matching opera gloves and Tiffany Haddish in sparkling one-shoulder Prada as the music crowd did Las Vegas proud with a show of wild and meaningful looks.

Billy Porter, always a fashion standout, also went with fuchsia in a trouser look that had a sheer button-down shirt and long ruffled cape from Valentino.

Justin Bieber, in a baggy, gray suit a few sizes too big, wore a fuchsia beanie on his head as walked with his wife, Hailey, in white Saint Laurent. Count Chrissy Teigen in the pink camp as well as Chrissy Teigen and St. Vincent also impressed in dramatic ruffled creations, both in slightly lighter shades of the color.

The men also got in on the trend, with Travis Barker wearing a silky pink robe, Trevor Noah sporting a pastel-coloured tuxedo jacket and red-carpet fixture Billy Porter wowing in a spectacular florescent creation from Valentino’s Fall-Winter 2022 womenswear collection.

Megan Thee Stallion went in another direction in an animal print dress with an oh-so-high slit. The lining was a contrast animal strip, an unusual touch. Dua Lipa was a study in straps sporting long blonde hair. Her Versace gown was adorned with straps and gold hardware.

Black Coffee, the DJ from South Africa, paid homage to his friend Virgil Abloh, wearing a pair of the late designer’s sneakers before his win for dance/electronic music album.

As for the men, there was plenty of ornate, brocade jackets and suits in the early bunch.

The oddest outfit of the night, however, came from singer and songwriter Tayla Parx who arrived in a costumey spiked jumpsuit that saw her compared to the Nintendo character Bowser.
