The five aggrieved governors of the People’s Democratic Party, also known as the G5, have arrived in Ibadan, Oyo State to launch the re-election campaign of one of their members, Seyi Makinde.
The G5 arrived at the campaign launch site at the ancient Mapo hall in Ibadan at precisely 1 p.m.
The G5 Governors are Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
The G5 governor who pulled out from the campaign of Atiku Abubarkar the PDP presidential candidate, have been demanding the resignation of the PDP national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, claiming that the presidential candidate of the party and the national chairman cannot be from the same region.
