AC Milan are not letting the title celebrations get to their head. They are very focused on business in this transfer market and expect to keep a good number of players in their ranks before they jet off for pre-season. Centre-back Fikayo Tomori is now the next agenda for the Rossoneri and they are keen on extending his current deal till the summer of 2025.

Tomori joined Milan on loan from Chelsea but the deal was subjected to a clause that stated that Milan could trigger a buy option. This was done and Tomori ended up a Milan player on a permanent basis. Impressed with his performances since 2021, Milan are working to give him a new deal that will run till the summer of 2025.

This has been met well by Tomori’s representatives and they are ready to begin discussions with the club in a matter of days. Tomori is viewed as an important player in Stefano Pioli’s squad and it is little wonder he is being tied at the club. Tomori is enjoying life in Milan and he is looking forward to a future that will be with the Rossoneri. He is understood to like the club and he intends to repay the faith shown by sporting director Paolo Maldini.

The England international has been on the fringes of the Three Lions setup and has featured sparsely for his country. However, many at Milan believe his recent performances will definitely turn the head of Gareth Southgate as he prepares for the 2022 World Cup with his squad. Not a great deal of players from England play in Italy, with few exceptions like Chris Smalling and Tammy Abraham at Roma.

The 24-year-old is a Chelsea academy graduate who was instrumental in their quest to qualify for the UEFA Champions League in the 2019/2020 season and also lost in the FA Cup final to Arsenal that same season. Tomori has been on the radar of other clubs, with Juventus considering a move for him a few months ago. This prompted the Milan board to act quickly to offer a new deal to the colossal defender. When asked about Milan e said it was a huge pleasure to be there.
