Richarlison opts to leave Everton this summer

He changed his football management agency to CAA Base Agency in April but he did not say anything regarding his future at the time. However, the player is now ready to discuss his future and he is weighing his options as he prepares for an exit.

The forward joined Everton from Watford in 2018 and has quickly become a cult hero with his wonderful work rate, attacking prowess, and iconic celebrations. Richarlison is a fan favourite at Everton and to see him leave will definitely be a thing of great disappointment to the Toffees fans.

The club are not ready to listen to offers yet for him but he remains relentless in his pursuit of an exit.  Speaking to Globo Esporte yesterday, Richarlison made his decision crystal clear. ”I’ve already made it clear to the Everton board. I’ve already talked to Lampard with my agents: they know what I want,” he said.

A few clubs are interested in Richarlison and they include PSG and Manchester United, with both teams close to making a decision about the player in a few weeks’ time. Everton knows it will not be easy to keep Richarlison and they now intend to cash in big from the player. The club will demand a figure of £70m for any club coming for the Brazil international and they are optimistic of arriving at such a figure. Richarlison has netted double figures in back-to-back seasons with Everton(2020/21 and 2021/22). He played 30 PL matches this season and scored 10 goals.

Richarlison is currently on international duty with his country’s senior team and may not be with the Toffees for pre-season as sources close to him reckon he will find a new club before July.
