Renowned Afrobeats sensation, Seun Kuti, has embarked on his highly anticipated European Summer tour alongside his band.
Departing from his home country of Nigeria, Seun Kuti recently left for Switzerland, where he is scheduled to kick off his exhilarating musical journey across Europe.
The departure comes as a relief to Seun Kuti’s fans, who anxiously awaited news of his release from police custody.
Just a few days ago, the talented artist was detained for a week following an altercation with a law enforcement officer. However, after being granted bail, Seun Kuti wasted no time in preparing for his tour.
It was a disappointing setback for Seun Kuti’s supporters when news broke that his scheduled performance in Majorca Island, Spain had to be canceled due to his detention.
Sources close to the artist revealed to newsmen that Seun Kuti and his band members departed Nigeria late in the evening, precisely at 11 pm, en route to Switzerland.
The energetic musician is set to make a grand entrance on the European stage, with his first stop being Zurich, where his eager fans eagerly await his performance tomorrow night.
“Kuti has flown to Switzerland to commence his summer tour in Europe. He’s already missed a lot of shows. His fans in Zurich are eagerly awaiting him tomorrow night”, the source said.
