Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Davido, has made history by breaking an African record on the US iTunes Albums Chart with his new album βTimelessβ.
The album reached the top spot on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, making it the first-ever African album to reach Number 1 in the worldβs biggest music market.
Davido, who dropped his fourth studio album βTimelessβ on March 31, 2023, has been a trailblazer for the Afrobeats genre for years.
The album features a star-studded lineup of guest appearances from renowned Nigerian artists such as Asake, Fave, The Cavemen, Morravey, and Logos Olori, as well as global sensations like Grammy-award-winning Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo, British rapper Skepta, South African music producer/DJ Musa Keys, Jamaican dancehall/reggae singer Dexta Daps, and South African rapper, Vocalist.
The 17-track album has also become the first and only Afrobeats album to debut all tracks in the top 100 of the United Kingdom Apple Music top songs chart.

Following the albumβs release, the global streaming giant, Spotify, reported that Davidoβs music is the most-streamed in the United Kingdom, Canada, France, and Nigeria. The achievement is a testament to the artistβs immense talent and the global appeal of Afrobeat music.
Davido, who has won multiple awards, including the BET Award for Best International Act in 2018 and 2020, has solidified his status as one of the biggest names in African music.
