On Monday morning, civil unrest occurred in various parts of Lagos State, including Agege and Ikorodu.

There were reports of pandemonium in some areas of the state on Friday, as certain individuals, suspected to be hoodlums, staged protests over the scarcity of naira in the state.

The protesters were said to have gathered in Mile-12, Ketu, Ojota, Ikorodu Road, and Iyana-Ipaja around 6:00 am. As of now, the protest has spread to other areas of the state, such as Agege, Ikorodu, and Iyana Iba, among others.

The rioters have set bonfires, causing panic among motorists and residents who have had to turn back. Vanguard has confirmed these reports.
