The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, did not receive support from President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state.

Nonetheless, Buhari himself won his Sarkin Yara Polling Unit in Daura, Katsina State, where the APC presidential candidate obtained 523 votes compared to Atiku and Obi, who received three and zero votes, respectively.

In the final tally, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP emerged as the victor in Katsina State with 489,045 votes, while Tinubu received 482,283 votes. The Labour Party’s Peter Obi received 6,376 votes, while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP earned 69,385 votes.
