Isaac Fayose, the brother of the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has made claims that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is restless, despite winning the presidential election against the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi. According to Fayose, the APC is intimidated by the level of reception accorded to Obi by Nigerians in the diaspora, which gives the impression that Obi is still campaigning.

Fayose further elaborated that the APC is puzzled by the warm welcome Obi received from Nigerians abroad, and they are questioning why a “loser” like him would be given such treatment for free. He stated that the APC is worried about the kind of man Peter Obi is, which has caused them to lose sleep, as they perceive him to be a threat to their democracy.

In response to a video of Obi being received by Nigerians abroad, Fayose took to his Facebook page to voice his opinion. He wrote, “They are wondering what kind of man is Peter Obi, how can a perceived loser be receiving this kind of treatment for free? This is why they are not comfortable, having sleepless nights, saying Peter Obi is a threat to them and democracy. How can someone going about his normal activities be a threat to APC if not that they are not at rest, they have no peace of mind.”

It is essential to note that the views expressed by Fayose are his personal opinion and not necessarily reflective of the opinions of the general public or any other entity. It is vital to recognize the importance of peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and understanding in promoting a healthy democratic society.
