Brazilian Defender, Danilo Is Sad As FIFA Refuses To Recognize Him But Recognized Cristiano Ronaldo

Danilo has faulted FIFA claims about giving only Cristiano Ronaldo credit on Twitter. Ronaldo was appreciated by the governing body about winning titles in England, Spain and Italy as Juventus were recently crowned champions of Italy for the ninth consecutive year.

Danilo has been left sad after he was not recognized alongside Juventus team mate Cristiano Ronaldo. FIFA claimed on twitter that Ronaldo is the only player to have won trophies in England, Italy and Spain as the Bianconeri were crowned champions of Italy for the ninth consecutive time after defeating Sampdoria by 2-0 at the weekend. But FIFA did not realize that Ronaldo is not the only one to have won league titles in three out of Europe’s top five leagues. The Brazilian defender likewise has the same record with the Portuguese superstar, winning league titles with Real Madrid, Manchester City and Juventus.

Danilo was quick to remind the world football governing body FIFA that he too has won league titles in those three countries.

FIFA had earlier congratulated Ronaldo on the official Twitter handle:

“10 goals in 10 games since the resumption of @SerieA_EN has helped @Cristiano become a multiple-time league champion in England, Spain & Italy. “No other player has even won all 3 leagues once. The country doesn’t matter when you’re from another planet.”

The tweet was deleted after Danilo claims and the Brazilian responded with a host of thinking face emojis.

Danilo and Ronaldo enjoyed league successes at Real Madrid as well as winning two Champions League trophies together. The 29-year-old then moved to the Etihad winning back-to-back titles with Pep Guardiola’s side in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 season. Danilo was unable to make Guardiola’s first team as he was included in the deal that brought Joao Cancelo to the Premier League side.
