Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has provided six recommendations to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on how to end the current hardship faced by Nigerians due to the scarcity of newly redesigned Naira notes.

Tinubu’s suggestions include allowing old and new Naira notes to co-exist as legal tender for the next 12 months, suspending charges on online transactions and bank transfers, mobilizing money deposit banks and payment platforms to expand their infrastructure, bringing in fintech companies to help with the currency swap program, forming an inter-agency action committee to address cash supply gaps, and launching a major public enlightenment campaign to educate the public on the new Naira and cashless policy.
