Bode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reiterated his plans to relocate abroad if Bola Tinubu wins the upcoming presidential election in Nigeria. Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, George stated that his decision to move out of Nigeria would not change, even after Tinubu’s victory in the February 25th polls.

George emphasized that he has the right to live anywhere he chooses to reside in the world, including Nigeria’s neighboring West African countries such as Ghana, Cotonou in Benin Republic, and Lome in Togo. He expressed his readiness to retire from partisan politics, noting that he does not believe that Tinubu’s administration has the capacity to run the country effectively.

In response to a question on whether he still intends to go on exile, George stated, “I said if this fellow (Tinubu) becomes the President, I will lose my interest politically. If I am not satisfied with the way things are going, I have a right to go and stay anywhere I want to live for the rest of my life and play with my children and grandchildren.”

George expressed his concern for the younger generation, lamenting President Muhammadu Buhari’s failure to fulfill his promise of leaving a legacy of free and fair elections. He accused the electoral umpire of failing to translate the results of the February 25th poll electronically, as promised.

Despite his plans to relocate, George noted that he has not committed any offense that can debar him from leaving the country. He expressed his confidence in his credibility and worthiness, stating that he could live anywhere with his green passport.
