Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, more commonly known as Bobrisky, has raised eyebrows once again, after sharing a screenshot of an N5 million credit alert he received from his “boyfriend” in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Bobrisky, who has dubbed himself the “mummy of Lagos,” took to his Snapchat account to share the news with his followers.

According to the screenshot shared, the credit alert of N5 million was received at approximately 4:45 PM on Monday, February 13, just before Valentine’s Day. The social media personality, who has been known to stir up controversy with his extravagant displays of wealth and lifestyle, did not reveal the identity of his boyfriend or provide any additional information about him.

Bobrisky has gained significant attention for his unconventional style, flamboyant personality, and unapologetic self-expression. He has been open about his gender identity and has spoken out against the discrimination and persecution of the LGBTQ+ community in Nigeria.

While Bobrisky’s lavish displays of wealth and his overall persona have garnered both fans and critics, the credit alert post has once again sparked conversations on social media about the ethics of flaunting wealth and the true source of Bobrisky’s income.

It is worth noting that in Nigeria, there is still a pervasive social stigma against the LGBTQ+ community, and the country has laws criminalizing homosexual acts. While Bobrisky’s bold and unapologetic presence has brought attention to issues of gender identity and sexual orientation in Nigeria, it has also made him a target of criticism and controversy.
