Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has hit a roadblock as their bid of €70 million has been rejected by the Premier League club, according to reliable sources cited by The Athletic. The Bundesliga champions were willing to include additional add-ons in their offer, but it fell short of Tottenham’s valuation of the player.
The 29-year-old England captain is currently under contract with Tottenham, which is set to expire in a year’s time. This situation has prompted Bayern Munich, now under the guidance of former Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel, to actively search for a new forward during this summer transfer window, with Kane ranking high on their list of priorities.
Kane has long been on the radar of Manchester United, with the club’s interest dating back to the time when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was at the helm. The current Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, is also known to be an admirer of the prolific striker’s talents.
