Bayern Munich Turns to Osimhen After Mane Altercation
Bayern Munich is reportedly planning to make a move for Victor Osimhen to bring him back to the Bundesliga, while also offering Sadio Mane to Napoli in a swap deal. It has been reported that the stock of Mane has been decreasing within the club since the incident between him and Leroy Sane following their 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the Champions League.
Despite Mane receiving a €300,000 fine and a match ban for his violent conduct, the club is not satisfied with the punishment he received. Bayern Munich is in search of a striker and sees Osimhen as a perfect fit for the team.
Reports from Sky Sports indicate that Bayern’s approach for Osimhen is a strategy to suppress the €150 million price tag that Napoli has placed on the 24-year-old. However, negotiations have not yet begun between the clubs.
The stumbling block in the proposed Mane-Osimhen swap deal could be Mane’s €22 million yearly salary. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is also reportedly interested in Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt, but faces stiff competition from Manchester United for the French striker.
