Barcelona confirmed on Tuesday that Ivan Rakitic has left the club and returned to Sevilla for a fee of €1.5 million with €9m in variables. The Croatia international passed a medical with Julen Lopetegui’s side on Monday and has now signed a deal that runs until 2022.
He follows Arthur Melo in leaving the club ahead of the new season and there could be a few more out of the door in the coming weeks.
Barcelona has taken to their official twitter account to wish him a further success in his football career. Barcelona remarked that he won’t be forgotten in the history of Barcelona.
