APC Unveils 191-Member Council For Kogi Governorship Campaign
This council is entrusted with spearheading the party’s nationwide governorship campaign in the state.

The announcement was made through an official statement issued by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Arugungu, on Wednesday evening in the capital city of Abuja.

This move follows recent developments that saw the party fervently deny earlier documents that contained prominent names of chairpersons, co-chairpersons, and council members for campaign initiatives in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States. These documents had previously circulated widely in various media channels.

In the latest release, Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, revealed the fresh lineup, with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu being appointed as the distinguished chairman of the Kogi campaign team. Under his leadership, the council is poised to orchestrate a dynamic and strategically well-directed campaign effort.

Governor Sanwo-Olu’s responsibilities will be complemented by the notable involvement of two co-chairmen who have been chosen based on their experience and commitment to the party’s values.

These co-chairmen are Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger State and Governor Sani Uba of Kaduna State. Their inclusion is expected to bring diverse perspectives and expertise to the campaign council.

In addition to the core leadership, the council features a constellation of influential members who hold pivotal positions within the APC. Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the party, takes his place in this lineup, alongside Kogi State’s incumbent governor, Yahaya Bello, who naturally assumes a crucial role in the campaign for his state.

Adding further gravitas to the council, key governmental figures have also been included. Notable among them are David Umahi, the Minister of Works, and Bello Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence.

With the unveiling of this accomplished 191-member council, the APC is now set to engage in a spirited campaign to capture the hearts and minds of the electorate in Kogi State.

As the November 11 election draws nearer, all eyes will be on the APC’s campaign council as it navigates the complex terrain of Kogi State’s political landscape, seeking to secure a resounding victory for the party and its chosen candidates.
