Former reality star Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been released from a Romanian prison after serving three months on charges of sex-trafficking, according to sources close to the case. The Bucharest Court of Appeal granted their most recent appeal against a 30-day extension of their incarceration, following several unsuccessful attempts.
A spokesperson for the brothers informed media outlets that both will remain under house arrest during the ongoing investigation. Their legal team and supporters are reportedly thrilled with the decision, as are Andrew and Tristan, who eagerly anticipate reuniting with their families.
The brothers hinted at their impending release in a vague tweet posted on Wednesday, though it remains uncertain if they were aware of the court’s decision at the time.

The arrests occurred in December after accusations surfaced that Andrew had participated in rape and operated a human trafficking ring. The charges attracted increased attention following a heated exchange between Andrew and environmental activist Greta Thunberg on Twitter.
During his time in jail, Andrew became the subject of ridicule when a photograph of him with thinning hair circulated online. However, a representative for Andrew argued that the focus on his appearance detracted from the more pressing issue of the potential harm caused by false allegations.
