Alonso Set For Chelsea Exit with Spanish Giants Interested
Marcos Alonso

Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso is drawing nearer to the exit door at Stamford Bridge. The Spain international has fallen down the pecking order at the club and is now eager to leave at the end of the season.

Alonso joined Chelsea in 2016 under Antonio Conte where he played as a left wing-back.  The 31-year-old is however unfavoured by Thomas Tuchel who has even played Reece James and Malang Sarr ahead of Alonso. With Ben Chilwell injured since December and not likely to make an appearance until July,Tuchel has no choice than play Alonso.

Barcelona and Juventus are top contenders who are interested in Alonso. Chelsea are willing to part ways with him and Barcelona are preparing a delegation that will meet Alonso’s agent to discuss. Barcelona were interested in Tagliafico of Ajax as a left-back but the player is not yet decided on his future. Juventus are only making distant contact with Alonso and nothing concrete has been agreed yet.

Chelsea face Real Madrid tomorrow in what will be the second leg of the 1-3 loss of the Blues at Stamford Bridge. Romelu Lukaku,Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ross Barkley are not traveling with the squad to Madrid.
