The top professional football division of the Spanish football league, La Liga, has reacted as Super Eagles of Nigeria topped Group D in the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON.
La Liga congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria for topping the group in Pidgin English.
The body also wished the Nigerian representative in the biennial tournament the best of luck in the knockout stage of AFCON.
In a congratulatory message on Instagram, La Liga wrote: “We dey congratulate the Super Eagles as dem top their group for #AFCON2021, and we wish dem beta luck for the knockout stage. Up Naija.”
The Super Eagles topped Group D after winning all their matches.
The Nigerian representatives defeated Egypt, Sudan, and Guinea-Bissau to lead the group ahead of the knockout stage.
