Adeleke Vs Oyetola: Tribunal To Give Verdict Of Osun Gov. Election Jan 27

The announcement was contained in a court paper pasted at the entrance of the court.

The tribunal indicated that sitting will begin at 9 am on the said day.

In August 2022, Gboyega Oyetola, former Osun governor, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) petitioned the tribunal to challenge the election victory of Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Recalled INEC had declared Adeleke the winner of the election, having polled 403, 271 votes against 375,027 polled by Oyetola.

Among several issues, Oyetola is contending that there was overvoting in 749 polling units across 10 LGAs of the state.

The local governments challenged were from the Osun West senatorial district of the state.
