The incident occurred three weeks ago when Ronke received a distress call at 3:45 am, informing her that her daughter had been hospitalized after ingesting bleach – hypo.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Ronke Oshodi Oke found her daughter in a disorganized state, crying and distressed. She stated that she suspects her daughter’s friends or roommates may have been responsible for the poisoning, although it remains unclear how her daughter ingested the substance.

According to Ronke, her daughter drank from a non-transparent water bottle provided by her mother for school use, using a straw. This made it possible for her not to notice the poisoned content. She believes her daughter’s friends or roommates poured the substance inside the bottle to harm her.

Speaking in Yoruba language, Ronke Oshodi Oke said, “About three weeks ago, they called me around 3:45 am to say that my daughter Jummy drank hypo.

“I went to the school, and I met her crying; she wasn’t herself. It seems like her friends kept hypochlorite in her water to kill her. They poured it inside her bottle, which I gave her. I intentionally do not want to mention the name of the school because I don’t want to ruin it.”

The incident has since raised concerns among parents about the safety of their children in schools. Parents on social media are calling on the actress to investigate the matter and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.

Meanwhile, Ronke Oshodi Oke has vowed to take legal action against the school if such a reoccurrence happens to her daughter again.
