Reality TV star and beauty entrepreneur, Tacha Akide, has successfully completed her Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers done in 24 hours, achieving a total of 145 transformations.
The feat was accomplished during the Tacha Beauty Festival held at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture & History in Lagos. The event drew a crowd of supporters and celebrities including Alex Unusual, Toke Makinwa, Ice Prince, and Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism.
Despite facing several technical challenges — including a brief power outage — Tacha pushed through with determination, completing makeover after makeover across a diverse range of skin tones and body types.
Each participant was captured in professional headshots and took part in runway showcases, highlighting not just the artistry but the inclusive nature of the attempt.
Tacha, who rose to fame from Big Brother Naija Season 4, is now awaiting official verification from Guinness World Records to confirm her status as a record holder. If certified, this would place her in the global spotlight, further cementing her reputation as a leading voice in beauty and entrepreneurship.
Speaking ahead of the attempt, Tacha said the inspiration behind the record was to honour the creativity, resilience, and power of Nigerian women, and to showcase the talent within the local beauty industry on a world stage.
