#RevolutionNow: Atiku, Ezekwesili Condemn Sowore Arrest

Former Nigerian Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to the arrest of Omoyele Sowore by men of the Department of State Services (DSS). He condemned such acts, calling them “Kidnappings in the guise of arrests”.

Baring his thoughts on twitter, Atiku said: “Freedom of Speech is not only constitutionally guaranteed, it is the substructure of our democracy. These kidnappings in the guise of arrests stand condemned”.

Also reacting to the issue is Oby Ezekwesili, former presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN).

Her tweet reads: “@AsoRock ought to know that they cannot sustain this unconstitutional habit of repression against #CitizensRights. All these persistent acts of @NGRPresident to shrink the Public Space with rabid level of intolerance for dissention will surely fail”.

A graduate of Theatre Arts who is also a scriptwriter, editor, director, and movie critic.
